Direct Coated Products Ltd was started 10 years ago by the director Mr Derek Platt. He graduated as a chemistry student from a London University in 1979 with a GRSC honours degree.

Derek's experience of film coating and formulation skills has been gained through more than 25 years of development work on film coatings for the photographic and graphic printing markets.

Direct Coated Products originally started out manufacturing film for OHP's. These gradually become less popular and demand dropped. Diversification was necessary into today's modern digital printing sector, although OHP film is still produced for our customers on a smaller scale.
